Fall Alpha Sessions Just Ended
We just completed our Fall Alpha sessions: they began with an introductory cookout on Sep 22 and ran weekly until Dec 1. Each evening began with a sit-down dinner—the adults then watched a video on a topic explaining some aspect of the Christian faith, such as "Why Did Jesus Die?" and then had a discussion. The kids watched videos, played games and did various other activities.
We had from 8-10 in the group this year. The video speaker is a good communicator and helped us in our understanding as we had discussions. You could sense the fellowship as we began to know each other better and this group was a joy to be part of. Thank you for your support in prayer and we can’t give enough thanks to those who volunteered by putting out flyers, preparing the cookout, preparing meals, donating funds for meals, setting up and cleaning up each Monday.
Alpha with dinner is offered each fall — our 2009 cookout will be in September and you are invited to see if Alpha is for you; we also offer to bring Alpha to your home (no dinner or refreshments required) so you (and friends if wanted) can get to know more about Christianity in a non-threatening atmosphere. We’d love to bring Alpha to you — call Pastor Ken Henry at (612) 729-5751.
