Church Landscape Project
In the spring of 2005 the F.M. Church began a landscape project. This landscape project included landscaping to both the parsonage and church properties. Work included:
A new platform that serves as main entry for the parsonage and pastor’s office.
A new path of patio blocks between the platform and new walkway.
A new walkway and patio blocks that begin at the sidewalk and end at the basement entry.
A retaining wall that begins at the alley and ends around the garden area in front of the parsonage.
By the fall of 2005 80% of the work has been completed. Work to be completed in the spring and summer of 2006 includes:
The installation of siding on the exterior of the pastor’s office
The installation of hand railings at steps.
The installation of a fire escape to extend from the sanctuary exit above to the platform below.
A retaining wall beginning at the new walkway of the parsonage and ending at the main entry of the church.
Photos were taken of the parsonage, pastor's office and church before work began.
Formwork was constructed and set in plae for a new poured concrete platform.
The new platform will serve as a landing for a new wrought iron fire escape.
The new path of patio blocks were placed providing a path between the church and the parsonage.
